Imphal, November 18 2017: The CRPF Polo team which bagged the "Best Disciplined Team Trophy" along with Rs 10,000 in the 3 3rdN Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament 2017 were feted today at GC, CRPF, Imphal.

The State polo tournament which concluded on November 17 was participated 28 polo teams and the CRPF team were part of it.

The polo team were created by M&N Sector CRPF under the leadership of IGP with a view to promote the game of Polo in the State.

The team comprising of W Dhiken, H Dracula, A Shyamananda Singh, Y Okendrajit Singh secured a thumping 10-3 won their maiden match against Thoubal District Polo Team.

They were defeated by Imphal Riding Polo Club 8-1 in the quarter final match staged on November 10 .

The team which made an impressive start and honoured with best disciplined award at the tournament for their fair play.

The players were felicitated in a special function held at Group Centre, CRPF, Imphal today by IGP and were rewarded with Rs 10,000, said a press release issued by PRO of the group centre.
